Interagency Assessment Mission to Bhutanese Refugee Camps in Nepal

This evaluation was conducted as part of a three-year inter-agency initiative to institutionalize health program evaluations in humanitarian situations and was funded by DFID. United Nations (WHO, UNHCR, UNICEF, and UNFPA), NGOs (Epicentre, ICRC, IFRC, IRC, Merlin and Oxfam) and academic institutions (Columbia University and London School of Tropical Medicine) working in the humanitarian health and nutrition sector joined in developing this initiative. Three pilot countries were chosen in which to begin the initiative, Nepal, Pakistan and Zambia. The evaluation exercise paid specific attention to the evaluation of the sexual and reproductive programmes within the overall health programmes. ICRH was invited to take the lead of the SRH evalution in the Bhutanese Refugee Camps in Nepal.
