OBJECTIVES

  • To make an inventory of recent research (2000 - 2003) in/with or for developing countries
  • To map the different fields of expertise
  • To identify the principal actors (institutions and research groups)
  • To formulate conclusions and recommendations to optimize the expertise in Flanders concerning development cooperation

ACTIVITIES

  • creation of a research antenna in ICRH
  • mapping of donors, research programs and administrations
  • developping an inventory of recent research (2000 - 2003) in/with or for developing countries
  • identification of principal actors. A questionnaire has been sent to 60 teams.
  • state of the art of the concept "ontwikkelingsrelevantie" (developing pertinency)
  • formulation of conclusions and recommendations

RESULTS

  • Final report for the flemisch government (november 2004)
