OBJECTIVES

Main objective:

• To improve the integration of refugee women through the promotion of their SRH rights

Specific Objectives:

• To get an overview of SRH of refugee women in European Member States (status, needs, policies, practices)
• To identify best practices in SRH for refugee women
• To identify needs and gaps in European policies
• To formulate recommendations for improved SRH policies for refugee women
• To launch a European Network for promotion of the SRH rights of refugee women

METHODS

• Literature review of refugee women in Europe
• Comparative analysis of SRH policies for refugee women in the European Member States
• Preparation and organisation of an international workshop
• Publication and dissemination of research findings and workshop proceedings

ACTIVITIES

• Development of a databank on SRH of refugee women
• Desk study and document analysis
• Development of a databank of main stakeholders in SRH for refugee women in Europe
• Identification of key informants on SRH for refugee women in European Member States
• Development and dissemination of a questionnaire for stakeholders in European Member States
• Comparative analysis of the answers to the questionnaire
• Preparation and organisation of international workshop
• Launch of European Network
• Publication and dissemination of research findings and workshop proceedings

RESULTS

• Overview of SRH of refugees in Europe is made
• Needs and gaps in SRH policies for refugee women are identified
• Best practices and lessons learned are identified
• Recommendations for improved policies are formulated
• Mandate/objectives of European Network are defined
