Michael is the programme Data Analyst. He holds a BSc. in Applied Statistics with IT from Maseno University (Kenya) and Master of Biostatistics degree from Universiteit Hasselt (Belgium). He has extensive experience in research data analysis having worked as a Senior Statistician for several national and international research organizations. Prior to joining ICRHK, Michael was a Senior Statistician at KEMRI/WELLCOME Trust. Michael has keen interest in the development and application of widely applicable, statistical and computational methods to address problems in biological, biomedical and epidemiological research and the application of novel statistical techniques to the design, analysis and interpretation of data arising from public health and human disease studies. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.
